Questions about plans and billing.
When am I charged after the free trial?
On day 15. You enter card details at signup and pay nothing before then. The first payment is for the plan and billing period you picked, and it renews until you cancel.
Can I cancel during the free trial?
Yes. Cancel before day 15 and you pay nothing.
Is there a setup fee or minimum contract?
No setup fee and no minimum term beyond the month or year you’ve paid for. Cancel any time from the billing settings in the admin panel. Access runs to the end of that period and the rest isn’t refunded. See the refund policy.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, up or down, and between monthly and annual, from the billing settings. Or email support@themusterapp.com and we’ll do it for you. Move up and you have the new features that day.
What happens to our data if we cancel?
Nothing is deleted automatically. Resubscribe and you carry on where you left off. Ask any time for an export of your data or for it to be deleted.
Does The Muster App work offline?
Yes. Visitor check-in, the crew board and muster keep working with no connection and catch up once it’s back. Crew can log Hours of Rest on Muster Mate at sea with no signal.
How many crew can we add?
All of them. Every plan has unlimited crew and adding crew never changes the price. Muster Mate is included for everyone on iPhone and Android.
Do we need to buy iPads?
No, you bring your own. iPad 10th generation (2022) or newer, iPad Air and iPad Pro all work on iPadOS 16.6 or later. Core covers 4 iPads per vessel, Plus 6 and Pro 10; see the Hardware page.
Is there fleet pricing for more than one yacht?
Yes, on annual billing. Email us the vessels you manage and we’ll send a written quote.
